Un equipo liderado por el CSIC ha logrado recuperar de la\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.strategicminerals.com\/nuestro-trabajo\/penouta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mina de Penouta<\/a><strong>\u00a0niobio y t\u00e1ntalo<\/strong>, dos de los minerales que m\u00e1s valora la industria tecnol\u00f3gica porque con ellos se fabrican desde\u00a0<strong>tel\u00e9fonos m\u00f3viles y otros dispositivos inform\u00e1ticos<\/strong>\u00a0hasta\u00a0<strong>armas inteligentes<\/strong>. Se trata de los primeros compuestos de esas materias primas sintetizados en Espa\u00f1a, al tiempo que Penouta es\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.es\/espana\/galicia\/abci-primera-mina-coltan-europea-empieza-funcionar-viana-bolo-201804150939_noticia.html\">la primera y \u00fanica mina para su extracci\u00f3n de toda Europa.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00abEl\u00a0<strong>colt\u00e1n<\/strong>\u00a0es un mineral relativamente escaso que contiene niobio y t\u00e1ntalo y forma parte de los minerales cr\u00edticos para la Uni\u00f3n Europea\u00bb, explica F\u00e9lix Antonio L\u00f3pez, investigador del CSIC en el\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cenim.csic.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Metal\u00fargicas (CENIM)<\/a>. El t\u00e1ntalo se usa principalmente en la elaboraci\u00f3n de\u00a0<strong>condensadores<\/strong>, ya que es capaz, en su forma de \u00f3xido, de acumular carga el\u00e9ctrica de manera muy eficaz y liberarla cuando es necesaria en circuitos integrados. Con estos minerales se hacen nuestros smartphones, tabletas, pantallas leds, videoconsolas&#8230; Pero no solo eso.
