Applications are invited for a research studentship in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Electronics of the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom (www.liv.ac.uk/electrical-engineering-and-electronics), leading to the award of a PhD degree in the areas of cognitive radio/dynamic spectrum access and 5G mobile communications. Proposals on other related or complimentary areas are welcome. Studentships will cover fees and living stipend up to a total of £20k per year (http://www.liv.ac.uk/electrical-engineering-and-electronics/postgraduate/phd/eee-mphil-phd/fees).

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated person with a first degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and strong academic record who meets the entry requirements for enrolment in the PhD degree of the University of Liverpool:
