CIC energiGUNE is now offering the opportunity to complete the Research Master project on the fields of electrochemical and thermal energy storage at our facilities.
CIC energiGUNE is an energy storage research centre with headquarters in the Basque Country, which aims to achieve and maintain levels of excellence in all of its research areas of focus and become an international benchmark in its field. The centre has the backing of public institutions and administrations, and of companies directly related to the energy sector.Eligibility
Candidates must pre-register as master students at a European University in a materials related Master Programme. Applications are open to students worldwide as long as their degree is validated / homologated and approved by the University where they intend to register, and that the university of choice agrees to establish a collaboration and a co-direction of the Master Thesis with CIC energiGUNE, with a minimum stay of 6 months at CIC energiGUNE for the practical part of the Master Thesis.
More information on pre-registration in local universities who already have a collaboration agreement with CIC energiGUNE is available at their websites, University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) or Mondragon University (MU).The Master
CIC energiGUNE will offer several grants for projects in EES and TES areas to eligible students who wish to complete their Master Thesis with us. Financial support will be 6,000€ / year. Students may also be eligible for financial support by the university or other institutions.
Candidates should show commitment to carry on with a PhD Fellowship within the centre at the end of the Master’s Degree, subject to a positive evaluation during the Master Course.

How to apply
Applications are open to students who wish to develop a career in research and who register on a relevant Master programme at university, i.e: materials science, physics, chemistry, engineering, etc.

Summer Internship at CIC energiGUNE

CIC energiGUNE is an energy storage research centre with headquarters in the Basque Country, which aims to achieve and maintain levels of excellence in all of its research areas of focus and become an international benchmark in its field. The centre has the backing of public institutions and administrations, and of companies directly related to the energy sector.

The Internship
The Summer Internship is intended to provide newly graduated students the opportunity to acquire practical research experience prior to the start of a Master’s Degree.
CIC energiGUNE will offer several grants for projects in EES and TES areas. Financial support will be 250€ / month of work. The applicants must commit at least 8-12 weeks to the project. Students who wish to continue their studies and complete a Master Thesis with us will be positively valued.

How to apply
Applications are open to final year university students in related areas: materials science, physics, chemistry, engineering, etc., who wish to develop a career in research.
